Highlights of Year 2007

  • Regular classes were held on all the working days and examinations were conducted fairly and peacefully.
  • Post Graduate Course in Biotechnology was launched successfully.
  • Three certificate/ diploma/ advanced diploma courses in Environment Audit, Electrical Equipment Maintenance (EEM) and Tissue Culture were launched.
  • 12 Major and Minor research projects were launched.
  • Twenty nine research papers were published in Journals of National and International repute.
  • Fifty seven students enrolled for the award of Ph. D. degree.
  • Teachers of A N College participated and presented research papers in fourteen international conferences/ symposium/ seminar.
  • Teachers of A N College participated and presented research papers in twenty seven national conferences/ symposium/ seminar.
  • More than ten books have been authored by teachers of A. N. College.
  • A. N. College organized twenty two Seminar/ Symposia on different topics.
  • Thirty awareness/ Co-curricular programs were organized relevant to different social, economic, scientific and environmental issues.
  • College Annual Sports meet and Cultural Programs were organized.
  • A. N. College organized a workshop on teachers skill sponsored by BIPARD.
  • A Digital Language Lab was setup in Shatabdi Bhawan which is a unique facility for Bihar.
  • A Socio-Psycho Cell has been established.
  • An Eco-Garden sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra was established in College Campus.
  • Five interactive sessions were held by Korean Experts under aegis of Korean Centre of A N College.
  • About 300 students were trained under computer literacy program.
  • About thirty students participated as Volunteers at Global Meet.
  • About Four Hundred Students participated in International Symposium on Contemporary Science and Technology Organized jointly by DST, Govt of Bihar and Scientific Foresight.
  • Seven students of Dept of EWM were selected as volunteers in the Decadal International Conference on Environmental Education held in Ahmedabad.
  • On the initiative of placement and guidance cell of our college, more than 100 students got employment through campus selection by various companies like CIPLA, HINDUJA, Career Block, Frankfinn, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Allianz, IBM Daksh, etc.
  • A teacher of Environment and Water Management of the college delivered invited lecture in a symposium organized by Cambridge University, UK titled “Arsenic Contamination of Ground Water in Ganga Levee Zone of Bihar”.
  • A teacher of Geography of the college delivered invited lecture in a symposium organized by Cambridge University, UK, titled “Vulnerability of population exposed to Arsenic poisoning in mid Ganga plane of Bihar”.
  • NSS Wing of the college organized more than ten programmes related to different social & health issues.
